RHYTHM Update!
•October 15, 2009 • Leave a CommentHi Everyone!
For those of you who are wondering what the future of your Thursday night’s will look like…we have an update! Although Cornerstone cannot continue to financially support a designated single’s pastor or a ministry budget for Rhythm, they would still like to help support us in any way that they can. They have offered us space to meet on a weekly basis as well as providing guest speakers for us as often as possible. In combination with their guidance and a very devoted team of leaders, we are excited to share that Rhythm will continue every Thursday night at 7:30pm back at Cornerstone church!
The format for Rhythm is going to look a little different than before, however we will still be able to offer community, fellowship, teaching and worship on most weeks. We have requested to meet in the lobby of the main worship auditorium providing the same coffee-house feel that you have experienced previously. Worship will likely consist of acoustic guitar. We are thrilled that we can offer the opportunity to still worship together! Cornerstone will rotate pastors to speak and will assist in providing guest speakers as well, so we are excited that God’s word will still be shared!
As we work to refine the “new” look of Rhythm, we hope that you’ll support and join us! We have many exciting ideas that we look forward to sharing with you soon, including: personal testimonials, community service projects, missions trips, small groups, fun events and MUCH more! Please bare with us as this will be a learning process for a little bit as we continue to improve and modify aspects of the new Rhythm until we get it right.
Aaron McRae will be speaking to us this Thursday and sharing his & Cornerstone’s heart for singles and our ministry…don’t miss it!
We look forward to seeing you all back at Cornerstone in the lobby on Thursday @ 7:30pm!
God Bless!
The Rhythm Continues!
•October 6, 2009 • Leave a CommentAlthough we are very sad about the news that the Rhythm won’t be led by James anymore, we are determined to honor what he has started by keeping the movement going!
This Thursday (10/8) we are meeting at Tumbleweed Park in Chandler at 7:30pm! We have reserved the McDowell Mountain Pavilion, so come out and enjoy the nice weather and your Rhythm community! James & his family will also be there, so please come and fellowship with us!
This is a large pavilion, so feel free to bring your kids if you want or need to. Dogs are also welcome as long as they are kept on leashes.
There are plenty of grills at the pavilion, so you can also feel free to bring your own food if you’d like to grill out. Volleyball courts are reserved on a first-come first-serve basis, so you can bring volleyballs, Frisbees, bocce, or anything else you’d like to play!
**If everyone can pitch in a couple of bucks for the facility rental that would be greatly appreciated since we are now a self-supported ministry!!**
Address & Directions are below:

The Rhythm – Modified
•October 4, 2009 • Leave a CommentWe regretfully announce that due to financial concerns at Cornerstone Christian Fellowship, the Singles Pastor position has been eliminated. As a result, The Rhythm (as a formal ministry event) will no longer meet as usual. Please stay tuned to this web site for updates and email any questions and/or your contact information to jointherhythm@gmail.com. In addition, singles in their 20’s are encouraged to check out Camber. Singles in their 30’s and 40’s are encouraged to check out MOSAIC.
